Dogs and Trick or Treating

.Halloween is coming up, and not only kids and pranksters are able to have fun.

There are plenty of ways to get Rover ready for the holiday and join in on the spooky
mayhem. For those of you out there that like to make your own special recipe of dog food and treats, why not make a small batch of special treats for people taking dogs with them for a walk? Be sure to assure that it has been safely prepared, and be sure to tell all your friends about it, you may start a new tradition! You can also have a dog accompany the kids for a little extra companionship for their first time trick or
treating on their own, to help them have a little extra security and confidence.

Speaking of dogs trick or treating, there are many many many costumes for dogs and other pets. Do you want to try something original or over the top? Why not make a theme for the whole family? For a super hero theme, the parents and kids can dress as the Justice League or the Avengers and Rover can be Underdog! You can also switch roles and you be the dog and let your fuzzy pal be the human! If you have a breed that has a iconic character (for all you pug fans who love Men in Black or you Lassie fans, you see
where I'm going with this...) you can have him or her portray the character, and you can dress up as a human from the franchise!

I know I plan to have my furry friends take part in holiday activities, they should get to have fun as much as the rest of us!
